On April 19th, 2024, Lightcast is enhancing the accuracy of our coding to the O*NET-SOC 2019 taxonomy. These improvements offer greater precision, for instance, coding fewer postings to "Not Elsewhere Classified" categories. We are still coding postings to the O*NET 2019 taxonomy, but clients may notice some changes in the numbers of postings coded to particular occupations.
Our commitment to excellence drives these changes. While our current classifier achieves high accuracy, our new system promises even higher precision, faster error resolution, and easier updates. Built on our flagship Lightcast Occupation Taxonomy, these enhancements ensure we are providing the best possible coding.
