Classification API: LOT V7 /classifications release (2025.2)

On February 10, 2025 we will be releasing the 2025.2 /classifications release. This release will provide the ability to classify to version 7.0.0 of the lot taxonomy in the following endpoints:

• /lot/classify
• /postings/classify

lot version 7.0.0 is currently available as a taxonomy in the Classification API for your consumption.

Please note that version 7.0.0 of the lot taxonomy provides localized taxonomy support through the use of the locale parameter.

Therefore the following fields will no longer be supported in version 7.0.0 or greater of the lot taxonomy:

• descriptionAu
• descriptionCa
• descriptionGb
• descriptionNz
• descriptionSg
• descriptionUs

Localized descriptions will be available through the combination of the description field and the use of the locale query parameter.

• nameAu
• nameCa
• nameGb
• nameNz
• nameSg

Localized name will be available through the combination of the name field and the use of the locale query parameter.

• namePluralAu
• namePluralCa
• namePluralGb
• namePluralNz
• namePluralSg
• namePluralUs

Localized plural names will be available through the combination of the namePlural field and the use of the locale query parameter.

In order to allow time for these changes to be accommodated, Lightcast will be extending the removalDate of the 2025.1 /classifications release until June 30, 2025.

It is recommended to pin your usage of the 2025.1 /classifications release, as well as version 6.36.0 of the lot taxonomy while you assess any issues these changes may cause.
