Lightcast takes privacy and data security seriously and is committed to handling personal data responsibly and ethically. We want to inform you about important changes that are coming into effect due to new privacy laws in California.

As you may already be aware, California has enacted stringent privacy regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, more recently, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These laws are designed to enhance consumer privacy rights and impose stricter data protection requirements on businesses that collect and process personal information.

To ensure compliance with these new laws, we are making some adjustments to the way we handle certain types of personal information. Effective as of September 22, 2023, Lightcast will no longer include California resident profiles in its Snowflake database.

We hope you understand the need for these changes and appreciate your continued support and trust in Lightcast. We will continue to deliver labor market data and insights in new and innovative ways.
